  2. Payment due date - the date by which we need to receive your payment – it would be good form to make the payment a few days before this so that we receive it on time.
  3. A list of transactions - money spent, cash withdrawals, discounts from partners and payments made to your account. This information will be displayed per card that is linked to your Virgin Money Credit Card account.
  4. Interest charges and fees - This will reflect all charges that we attach to your account based on the activity for the statement period.
  5. Outstanding balance - The money you have already spent from your available credit limit
  6. Minimum monthly payment due - the least amount of money that you need to pay us by the payment due date stated on the account.

How do I pay my account?

There are a number of ways to pay: debit order, electronic funds transfer and cash/cheque deposit. A quick reminder that if the date of your payment falls on a Sunday or a public holiday, the amount will only be processed on the next working day.

Debit order

Debit orders allow us to directly withdraw the funds from an account you choose, on a date you choose, every month. You can choose one of three amounts to pay:

  1. The full amount - If you pay this, you will not be charged any interest and you will have your full credit limit available to you next month.

  2. The minimum monthly amount - paying this will result in interest being charged on the remainder of your debit balance, and you will only be able to spend the unused portion of your credit limit. The minimum monthly repayment can never be less than 7.5% of the outstanding balance on your account.

  3. A fixed amount - paying this will result in a fixed monthly amount debited from the acount you choose. This amount will be adjusted upwards if it is lower than the minimum monthly payment due. If this amount is less than the outstanding balance on your account, you will be charged interest on the outstanding balance and you will only be able to spend the unused portion of your credit limit.

Remember that if your debit order date falls on a Sunday OR public holiday, the debit order will only be processed the next working day.
